Ali Edwards // Egg Hunt 2018
For this month's digital kit, I documented a very spontaneous little Easter egg hunt we did at home for Ava and a few of our closest friends. I used a 6x12 page protector from A Beautiful Mess and a 12x12 Design B from Becky Higgins.
This was such a fun day and so different from other parties we've hosted. It was so laid back and simple, and so incredibly fun. For the 6x12 insert I used a digital stamp from the kit as my header, added a line and then added a text box for my quick journaling. The adorable greige chipboard heart is from the Ali Edwards Week in the LIfe chipboard bundle. The photo was printed at my local Costco and to be honest, I'm not 100% happy with how the picture turned out. My preference is to get oversized photos printed with Persnickety Prints, but I wanted to pick this one up same-day. The flipside of the insert is a 6x12 template, also from Ali Edwards. The tab is date-stamped on one side, and I printed the "keep it simple" stamp on the opposite side. I used the chipboard elements from the digital kit to number the photos and tell a little story about how this party came together. I don't normally go into this kind of detail when I'm documenting a get-together, but I loved how easy this gathering was, how little I prepped, and then how much fun it was. I'm so bad at asking for help, but I did and it was fantastic.
I knew this would be a photo-heavy spread, but I really wanted to include the amazing quote from the kit. I looked through my stash to find a page protector that would fit. I think this is the first time I've used this layout (Design B).
This is obviously a very simple spread. I loved including the 6x12 size. I don't often document single-day events and I like that the varied size makes it stand out from my other 12x12 pages. Thanks for stopping by...let me know if you have any questions!!
