Kellie Stamps // My Birthday
My 37th birthday fell on a Friday this year. We had our amazing babysitter come stay with the kiddos and Mike and I had a big night out. Big night out is obviously a relative term...in this particular season of my life, that means dinner, a movie, and a few drinks. It was great .
The title card, give love card and embellishments are Ali Edwards. I used the megadate stamp from Studio Calico for the date. The numbers are from my stash, but I think they are also Studio Calico. The yes card is from Kelly Purkey. I really love Kellie's RATE THIS stamp set. It was obviously a great fit for a night out, but I know it's one I'll use for so many spreads. I decided to dot the majority of the i's in the spread with star stickers from Feed Your Craft.
Since the ratings are printed on vellum, I decided to try paint pens to fill in the details and I love the result. They show up much more vividly than some other options (highlighters, etc). I use the Uni Posca paint pens and have been really happy with them.
On the right, I started with a Kelly Purkey card. I repeated the stars to dot the i's. The remaining cards and embellishments are Ali Edwards. I used a little cork, which is a first for me. I don't typically like cork, but it's growing on me. The rubber love this embellishment is gorgeous. Give thanks on the top right picture is an Ali Edwards die cut vellum (an add on from this month's story kit).
Please let me know if I've left anything out you'd like to know. It's so weird to see a spread dominated by pictures of me...but I guess that's appropriate on your birthday, right? I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving!
